The project begins with a simple daily observation: the squirrels I watch from my window, perched in the trees. Their silhouette, their way of holding themselves up high and curving around a branch, became the starting point for the wall light. I extracted a line, a movement, and reinterpreted it through a geometric lens. This reduction gives the object an elegant and charming presence, while retaining something soft, almost endearing.
The composition is built around a luminous sphere wrapped by a curve. This pared-down formal language creates a simple shape that naturally belongs on a wall.
A technical element also takes on a new role here: a strip brush, typically used to cover a groove. Reinterpreted and integrated beneath the wooden structure, it becomes a distinctive detail. Its fine fibers introduce a surprising contrast and gently reinforce the reference to the animal.
A piece that quietly brings the wall the same small joy as spotting a squirrel in the trees.
